The Futronic FS80H Fingerprint Scanner features a durable crown-glass scanning window and infrared illumination technology. In addition, its automatic light adjustment helps optimize fingerprint image quality for different finger conditions, including wet, dry, and blurred fingerprints. The FS80H also includes Live Finger Detection (LFD), which can help reject fake fingerprints when used with appropriate software.
The FS81H is the OEM module version of the FS80H, designed for manufacturers and system integrators who want to embed a fingerprint scanner into their own products, such as handheld POS terminals and portable voter registration systems. Unlike the FS80H, the FS81H is supplied without the plastic housing and USB cable and does not support Live Finger Detection.
